New ROM dump Forces me to Force out a new pun. (Plus some redumps)

Before I get into the details of this ROM dump, let me attempt to elaborate on some credits to be given, because this is a bit complex.

A bit earlier in the year, I arranged in the SNESFreaks community a small group to purchase a chunk of Satellaview 8Ms. Some of the ROM dumps coming out, including the following ROM and some from later on – including a notable release I’m saving for my annual birthday ROM – are going to be from this set. The people involved in this include SNESFreaks community members ChronoMoogle, lytron, RedScorpion, Yankee, Wilo, Marcoeagleeye, and Tenchu, and all the 8Ms were dumped by ikari_01.

(Updates on who to credit for what specifically may be pending.)

On the ethics of profitting off of Satellaview ROM hack repro carts.

Lately, there has been a surge of BS Zelda (and a Radical Dreamers) repro carts appearing on eBay. This is in spite of the fact that Mottzilla earlier set up an officially endorsed repro cart seller specifically to attempt to avoid this circumstance.

This auction, for example, is just the latest in the string.

I would like you all to think of something before seeking out these repro carts yourself.

Kiddon Mattrick: “The infinite power of the SoundCloud will improve your Satellaview’s audio.”

I already mentioned this in the BS Zelda forums and my Twitter, but hey, blog padding!

You may have known that I’ve been collecting FLACs for Satellaview music for a while, with a particular aim to collect all the video game arranges used on the Satellaview as well as any other Satellaview-specific music compositions.

However, even having some of them, it’s difficult for me to simply have them available on here to listen to and download. Therefore, to facilitate in the distribution of these FLACs I’ve resorted to using SoundCloud.

I’ve currently got two Soundcloud pages available for particular music sets.
Click here for the recently-obtained “Fuurai no Shiren Special Arrange Version” and “Ihatovo Monogatari” FLAC sets, among others.

Click here for “BS Zelda” and “BS Super Mario” general FLACs.

I’ll talk more about Fuurai no Shiren a bit later. 🙂

As for Ihatovo Monogatari, I’ll admit, I don’t have absolute definite proof that BS Ihatovo Monogatari itself uses that soundtrack. The promotional ad from BS Tantei Club, though, certainly does, if you open your ears to listen:
