A Satellaview research blog.

I feel like a lazy bastard.

It has just dawned on me that Madhatter had been doing a -ton- of updates to the English Satellaview Wiki.

I mean, woahmg, look at all that!

Compared to this, I feel like I haven’t contributed much lately. Tsk! I really need to get going, now… perhaps soon I could check to see if I could fiddle with any of these articles.

More old-time St.GIGA Radio – “Sunset Breeze”.

More than a month passed without an update. 🙁
Excuse the slow news. I’ve been swamped with other work lately.

About a week or so ago on NND some new uploads were uploaded of a St.GIGA radio broadcast. Tagged “Sunset Breeze” in English, with an air-date marker of 1993/08/22, this is yet another archival that pre-dates the Satellaview

The Perils of 8M Pack Purchasing; Kaizou Choujin Shubibinman Zero.

Callis spent over 500 bucks on an 8M Pack and all he got was this ROM dump.

“Shubibinman, you say? But that game’s actually pretty sweet! And the 8M Pack must be collectible if it cost that much!”

Why, yes, both of those are true. However, there is but one teeny-weeny little problem.

On the file name I marked a “(L)” key for it. Do you see where this is going?

If not, try opening the game up in BSNES.

Wait, what’s that? It’s not showing up on the menu?

Yep, that’s right, the game is locked out! Callis can not even play the game on his hardware! Nor will this specific ROM play on BSNES due to it’s high-accuracy emulation simulating the lockout.
