1. I speak Japanese and you may be interested to know that the uploader is the same person who posted the original batch of BS Zelda to NicoNico years ago. I got in touch with him and here’s my translation of what he had to say:

   “Thank you for your comment. What you see here is actually captured from the same tape used in the video I uploaded back in 2007. The thing was, though, was that at the time, I was stuck with a ten-minute time limit and no MPEG4 support, so I had to edit it and render it a QVGA size, making that original video incomplete. Seven years later, I happened to come upon all four video tapes again while I was cleaning my room. Since the video capturing and editing environment had improved and YouTube has relaxed its playtime restrictions, I decided to repost them.

   “At the time I recorded the videos, it was actually my first time playing a Zelda game, so I imagine it makes for a bit of a tough video to actually watch, but since the game is unplayable these days, I’m pretty glad I saved it to tape in the end.”
