{"id":2653,"date":"2017-01-29T14:30:52","date_gmt":"2017-01-29T21:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/superfamicom.org\/blog\/?p=2653"},"modified":"2017-01-30T08:08:20","modified_gmt":"2017-01-30T15:08:20","slug":"isnt-it-exciting-when-a-redump-is-different","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/superfamicom.org\/blog\/2017\/01\/isnt-it-exciting-when-a-redump-is-different\/","title":{"rendered":"Isn&#8217;t it Exciting when a redump is different?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, does anyone here remember <a href=\"http:\/\/superfamicom.org\/blog\/2012\/06\/new-bad-rom-redump-whats-wrong-with-this-excitebike\/\">this article from way back?<\/a> The bad Excitebike dump always made me curious what I could find by trying to redump what is already available.<\/p>\n<p>Well, in some good news, we managed to get two more of these &#8211; and in better shape, to boot!<\/p>\n<p>These video previews I made show the most obvious differences:<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cgSb-4j30k8\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Much like the bad Stadium 1 redump, the Stadium 2 dump has a stricter Boo Jump minigame. (Since I last tried this, I did somehow manage one run where I had more than one attempt, but it seems to be activated by performance, and is very difficult to get.)<\/p>\n<p>As with Stadium 1, the Bass Tsuri tournament ad is there!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GB1OLgxj_-s\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We also got one of these for Stadium 3! Unlike Stadium 1 and 2, the Boo Jump game plays the same as in the reruns.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bsx.superfamicom.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/pics\/BS-0016.0.PNG\" \/><br \/>\nAs for the advertisment in this one?<br \/>\nAccording to bluesun, it is promoting the Fall 1997 season of &#8220;Game Tora no Chou Ooana&#8221;.<br \/>\n&#8230; It also looks like something I threw in MSPaint in 5 minutes, but I swear it&#8217;s legit. o.o<\/p>\n<p>There might be more to find in these I have not seen yet.<br \/>\nFurthermore, it might be possible to improve the restoration of the bad Excitebike redump with the data from the Stadium 2 redump!
