Description

This patch enables BG Scroll toggling, Weapon Change/Increase, Ship/Bomb Increase, screen interlace toggling, view current sprite tiles, view end credits, invincibility and stage select options.

Invincible and Stage Select options unlocked
The bottom two options in the Option Screen.

View End Credits
On the Story intro, hold TL and TR, and press 'Start'.

The following are all entered In-game and on JoyPad #2.

Toggle Background Scrolling Enable
Hold TR and press 'Down'.

Weapon Change
Hold TR and press 'A'.

Weapon Level Increase
Hold TR and press 'B'.

Player Ship and Smart Bomb Increase
Hold TR and press 'X'.

Toggle Screen Scanning Mode (Interlace/Non-interlace)
Press TL and TR.

Tech Note: The game still only displays 224 raster lines. The effect is probably only noticeable on a real S-NES - the the screen has a 'shaky' look to it.

View Object (Sprite) Character data in Video RAM
Hold TL and press 'B'.

The game designers arranged the sprites into four 'pages'. By repeatedly using the above button press, you can view each of the pages. Here's a rough layout:
Page #0 : Explosion sprites.
Page #1 : Player sprites.
Page #2 : Enemy sprites.
Page #3 : Enemy/Boss sprites.

You can also access the sprite's eight colour palettes by going beyond 4 button presses (the sprite pages wrap back to page #0).

On a personal note, I found it interesting to have page #1 enabled whilst playing, as you can see the effect of moving your ship and selecting different weapons.
